Growing muscular mass
Nutritional advice for muscle growth would be to never remove the meat from your diet.
Research has shown that, unlike a diet containing meat, a vegetarian diet will cause a decrease in testosterone, which is not helpful for muscle growth. Also, a diet higher in fat results in higher testosterone levels than does a diet lower in fat.
Meat contains cholesterol, a precursor for many hormones, including testosterone, good for muscle growth. Red meat is rich in zinc, which is an important mineral for supporting testosterone for muscle growth, so it is important to include steak, lean ground beef or roast beef in two of your five or six daily meals to sustain testosterone levels for muscle growth.
However your post workout meal must be rich in simple carbohydrates - about 0.5 to 0.6 grams (g) per pound of bodyweight.
This nutritional program can be enhanced with supplements like Aplodan.
Something that your healthy muscle growth diet should include is vitamin C. Orange juice is a good source of simple carbohydrates for your post training meal, and it’s also a prime source of vitamin C.
You have to carefully choose your diet, and respect it, along with your daily exercises. Only perseverance will make you succeed.
